"Destroy" is a song about regret and self-destruction. I have a deep-rooted tendency to sabotage what's good for me, perhaps its because I'm so afraid of not being in control that it actually stunts my personal growth. The fear of regret incapacitates me to a degree that only leads to a mirror image of its origins. The song's style is inspired by a mixture of grandson's insurgence, NIN's transgression and AWOLNATION's brood.
