about

SONG INSPIRATION

Stylistically, "Dangerous" was inspired by genre mashup. In no way shape or form could I ever compare myself to Avicii, nor is my indie rock genre within his realm, but I can't escape the fact that his mixing of EDM and country (aka folktronica) influenced the slide guitar 2nd chorus in "Dangerous". "Dangerous" also incorporates industrial and pop elements. Ok, so there might be some EDM inspiration in the interlude ;) Lyrically, the song lulls on introversion and how my familiarity with it serves as a safety net. Knowing such, I have a tendency to revert and escape into that comfort zone, which leads to shutting people out and hurting them.

LYRICS

Dangerous
Dangerous
You know I am
Dangerous

My kind of party
Is a party of one
Don't try to find me
Cause there's nowhere I belong
You found the sorrow
You fear tomorrow
Don't try to stop me
Cause I don't play along

Dangerous
Dangerous
You know I am
Dangerous

Work for the weakness
Cause the weakness has won
Nothing between us
But the beat of this song
Found by the hunter
He gave me shelter
And now the hungry
Hyenas sing along

Dangerous
Dangerous
You know I am
Dangerous
