Destroy 03:51
Fear is my success Crumble in my hands of stone In my dreams I put it to rest But my nightmares continue to grow I look away, look away And spend the rest of my days regretting I find a way to ruin Ruin all I pray for If its good for me, for me I will destroy it If its good for me I will destroy If its good for me, for me I will destroy it If its good for me I will destroy Destroy Didn't know what I had Saddest part as that I never will I just want to go back Just a matter of time until I look away, look away And spend the rest of my days regretting I find a way to ruin What I worked so hard for If its good for me, for me I will destroy it If its good for me I will destroy If its good for me, for me I will destroy it If its good for me I will destroy Destroy

This Is It 04:53
This is it The final chapter of my story This is it My last chance to capture glory I know only what I know And my window's coming to close This is it Down to my last breath This is it Spend my days counting them I know only what I know Though I've tried so hard I have nothing to show Hey, hey This is the point of no return Hey, hey And no my back begins to burn Hey, hey How everything has to lead to this like one last kiss This is it I realize I've become my poster This is it Never before have I been closer I know myself enough to know When the darkness comes in too close Hey, hey This is the point of no return Hey, hey And no my back begins to burn Hey, hey How everything has to lead to this like one last kiss I had a vision Now its melting on ice Got me conditioned to think twice Greater than a muse It was my vice Now my dreams are just Melting on ice Hey, hey This is the point of no return Hey, hey And no my back begins to burn Hey, hey How everything has to lead to this like one last kiss

Caveman 04:09
LYRICS I've worn this tie My whole damn life Even when I was a baby And its not by choice Cause I don't have a voice In a world built on maybes Lets start all over again All over again Kill the lights Leave behind the sleepless nights All over again Do the Caveman I want to hunt Where life and death confront Be face to face with my soul And I want to pray In my own way Not what you force down my throat Lets start all over again All over again Kill the lights Leave behind the sleepless nights All over again Do the Caveman

Dangerous 03:22
LYRICS Dangerous Dangerous You know I am Dangerous My kind of party Is a party of one Don't try to find me Cause there's nowhere I belong You found the sorrow You fear tomorrow Don't try to stop me Cause I don't play along Dangerous Dangerous You know I am Dangerous Work for the weakness Cause the weakness has won Nothing between us But the beat of this song Found by the hunter He gave me shelter And now the hungry Hyenas sing along Dangerous Dangerous You know I am Dangerous

Erase Me 05:03
LYRICS You can tune my out Mute every word I say You can write me off You're okay to push me away It pulls my strings apart How you're okay leaving me in the dark So much easier for you Than it is for me Why is it easier for you When we don't speak You erase me You have stopped my heart Tattooed from the start Like a frustrated piece of art You're tearing me apart Act like our memories seize to exist Yet I carry them on my wrist So much easier for you Than it is for me Why is it easier for you When we don't speak You erase me

Good Enough 03:39
I play until I bleed My voice box ripping out of me My graveyard of broken dreams Drifts alone in the galaxy But I'm older now, older now And there's not much left to go around I never found my sound If no one ever hears me Does it mean I never existed? Silence Silence in my eyes Wonder why I'm less than good enough Keeps me up at night screaming, "Why am I not good enough?" All my memories grew up to be nobody And it makes me feel Like I'm never gonna be good enough I do it all to please But I come up short to satisfy So much so that it seems My soul moved on and kept the key Its colder now, colder now Cause I have no heat to keep me warm Keep me from myself The worst kind of pressure Is always being measured Silence Silence in my eyes Wonder why I'm less than good enough Keeps me up at night screaming, "Why am I not good enough?" All my memories grew up to be nobody And it makes me feel Like I'm never gonna be good enough Never high enough Never low enough Now I'm not young enough No longer have the stuff I'm horrible at bluffing Can't fake my making The only thing I had mistaken Is what I had for the taking My skin is breaking My bones are shaking I'm just another poor boy With dreams of smoke Silence in my eyes Wonder why I'm less than good enough Keeps me up at night screaming, "Why am I not good enough?" All my memories grew up to be nobody And it makes me feel Like I'm never gonna be good enough Never gonna be good enough Never gonna be good enough Why am I not good enough I just want to be

LYRICS Once my memories Grab their things and leave me Will you remember me? Did I make you proud? No we don't have a lot of time No we don't have a lot of time Days turn to years overnight How do I know if I'm living them right? Once the oxygen Empties out completely Will I be afraid? Will I be alone? No we don't have a lot of time No we don't have a lot of time Days turn to years overnight How do I know if I'm living them right?

LYRICS Please audience rate me a satisfactory I'm not blind enough to see Sometimes I wish I was made in a factory So I could love like a machine Time moves like a robot And I know I'm less than free Voices of choices Everybody's spitting out poisons I just want to rejoice this But I find it so hard to find Voices of choices All I hear is white noises My brain has no map that I can exploit And my heart always tries to rhyme Come on sunshine Come on sunshine Shine a little light from me So I can find So I can find What it is I'm looking for Come on sunshine Some people seem to float around happily I think too much to be But to be too much means I am such Give me a break Socrates Time moves like a robot And I know I'm less than free Voices of choices Everybody's spitting out poisons I just want to rejoice this But I find it so hard to find Voices of choices All I hear is white noises My brain has no map that I can exploit And my heart always tries to rhyme Come on sunshine Come on sunshine Shine a little light from me So I can find So I can find What it is I'm looking for Come on sunshine

LYRICS Awake till three Watching the tele Feet feel like jelly Without hands running through my hair I can't dismember Now from last November How I cannot repeat Syndications in my stare I do not dare Oh how I wonder why It all came to an end The best years of my life I cannot pretend So real I can feel I swear I smell your scent You never left my mind Nostalgia cement Nostalgia cement I want to grab it Grab it like a habit Habit till I have it These frozen memories I bare And they don't share With now or never Yes you bet they're clever And they decide the moons and the air Its so unfair Oh how I wonder why It all came to an end The best years of my life I cannot pretend So real I can feel I swear I smell your scent You never left my mind Nostalgia cement Nostalgia cement

Forever 04:24
DNA don't lie but it doesn't tell the soul We were the same till you flew from the Goldilocks Zone There are moments I catch a twinkle in my eye That's how I know somewhere in there you're still alive But you were gone, gone, gone Before I could say goodbye And all I have are memories To fill in the voids of time Forever I'll look up to (I'll look up to you) Forever you'll be my hero (Hero) Where did you go? You left without leaving a note I try to find you somewhere between here and smoke You are so brave in the face of all that's unknown But now I'm so scared I lost the only way to find home But you were gone, gone, gone Before I could say goodbye And all I have are memories To fill in the voids of time Forever I'll look up to (I'll look up to you) Forever you'll be my hero (Hero)

Not a lotta people bring up What keeps them down Got a lotta smoke in the air Up to the ground If I can not sing the blues What am I supposed to do? An eagle with no purpose Will not take to flight Feel a little worthless when I Open my eyes If I can not sing the blues What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do? If I can not sing the blues What am I supposed to do? Bring it down I've got no way to Bleed my worries out I've got no stage to Scream my feelings out And when the moon comes I will be the last To be without To be without If I can not sing If I can not sing If I can not sing the blues What am I supposed to do?

Pine Leaf 05:18
LYRICS I have you You have me But Pretty Owl's got family I'll come for you Wait for me Cause my mind's on the hierarchy My sweet Pine Leaf Is climbing up a tree She's climbing up a tree Cause of me Now I morn for eternity What have I done? How selfish of me I'll never be the same For the rest of my life Cause the image of you Is tattooed in my mind My sweet Pine Leaf Is crawling through a tree She's crawling through a tree Cause of me My sweet Pine Leaf Is falling from a tree She's falling from a tree My sweet Pine Leaf Is falling from a tree She's falling from a tree She's falling from a tree Cause of me Cause of me Cause of me Cause of me My sweet Pine Leaf Is hanging from a tree She's hanging from a tree My sweet Pine Leaf Is hanging from a tree She's hanging from a tree She's hanging from a tree Cause of me Me

LYRICS I've been away for so long I don't remember if these hands are mine I've been wondering how long The silence will bite my tongue I've been away for so long Where did my name originate from? It started with a run At night time And you on my mind Why couldn't it pass? Now I'm always looking back And digging for clues Oh how I might of missed a few All that I built Abandoned overnight for you What a stupid thing to do Dance with me, dance with me Dance with me, dance with me Dance with me, dance with me My steps are fragile don't you Play with me, play with me My World will crumble if you Crush on me, crush on me I tend to stumble don't you Toy with me, toy with me And watch me unwind Was it a dream Maybe a seed Someone planted in my mind To sabotage me from myself On my own dime Committed a heinous crime Throw away my greatest love Without a care in my blood I should've known, I should've said You have no place in my head The more I fought The greater it grew The more I became stuck on you And before I knew it I ran right through it Shattering all that mattered Staggering to a pattern Scattered, bruised and battered Dance with me, dance with me My steps are fragile don't you Play with me, play with me My World will crumble if you Crush on me, crush on me I tend to stumble don't you Toy with me, toy with me And watch me unwind Me unwind Me unwind And watch me unwind Me unwind Me unwind And watch me unwind Me unwind Me unwind And watch me unwind Me unwind Me unwind And watch me unwind Unwind Unwind Unwind

LYRICS Night is darkest when I'm awake Radio play my mistakes Got that feeling I adopted somewhere Between Venice and Heaven's Gate All that's left are fractions of me Denominated by memories If my younger self saw me like this He would think this is some kind of trick My levels fall Its in my blood after all Can't stop my crawl Got a feeling I don't exist Without pen, paper and a stereo twist Could it be that I have become The very thing that makes me sick Commandeer on my own ship No one's left but middle aged me I forgot how to steer and I fear I'm drifted out to sea My levels fall Its in my blood after all Can't stop my crawl

Ride with Me 03:52
LYRICS Made many promises You kept none of them Made me think you cared for me Now I beg for sympathy Now I beg for sympathy Ride with me higher Ride with me higher Ride with me higher Ride with me higher Yellow spots over my skin You let disease in Even though we are a few I will bury you I will bury you Ride with me higher Ride with me higher Ride with me higher Ride with me higher

Days turn to years overnight (Overnight) How do I know if I'm living them right? (Am I living them right?) If I spend my days and my years looking back (Looking back) I know I'll never find myself moving on (Moving on) I have complicated The simplest of emotions Reached every corner of my mind Future staring at my back When I blink my Days turn to years overnight How do I How do I know if I'm living them right? If I spend my Days and my years looking back I know I'll Never find myself moving on I won't I know I must learn To let go Let go Tomorrow's coming soon I hope the Sun will great me As I long to be at peace And move on where I can Tomorrow's coming soon Will it make me happy? As I hope to make you proud I only want to make you proud

LYRICS Many moons ago I left my hometown Many moons ago To find my own sound That boy is long gone You wouldn't recognize the man I have become With many moons at hand Only Father Time can tell What's in Mother Nature's spell Only Father Time can share Who will Mother Nature spare I remember hoping for a miracle Please come back to me Many moons ago I was on my path Many moons ago Without turning back Then came the hurricane It all seemed to go black When I came to Many moons had passed Only Father Time can tell What's in Mother Nature's spell Only Father Time can share Who will Mother Nature spare I remember hoping for a miracle Please come back to me Come back to me Come back to me Come back to me Many moons ago I could pretend Many moons ago To hold your hand again When I look up at the stars I wonder if they know how My story will end Many moons from now

about

A note from me:

"Last Man on Moon" is my most ambitious music undertaking to date. Its also perhaps my swan song. The album is an 18-song journey that weaves throughout the last five years since I disappeared from relevance and the Los Angeles music scene. The frameworks of many of these songs have been with me for years, in fact the guitar progressions for "Forever" and "Dance with Me" have been with me for over 24 years, writing them and playing them over and over and over since I was 12 years old.

I've been doing music for a long time and "Last Man on Moon" is technically only the 2nd album I've ever released. All releases in between this and my debut "Identity" album, released in 2009, were either EPs or singles.

A little bit more about the inspiration behind "Last Man on Moon":
Now in my mid-30s, the synopsis of the album is a reflection upon life’s crossroads. In a time of individuality, I find myself immersed in anonymity. I've reached a period in my life where I once envisioned, with absolute certainty, that I'd be spending my nights pouring my soul onstage for millions around the world. Well, that planet has left me. Left me standing on a desolate terrain, wondering, “Where did it all go?” Perhaps the most frightening aspect of it all, I've become a statistic. One of the countless, just like me, who thought they were different.

I worked very hard on this album (my wife can attest to that!). In fact, it took me over two years from start to finish. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did crafting it. Music has always been my first language. As such, I hope it speaks to you.

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans” - John Lennon

With Love,
Derek Jordan

P.S. I know times are tough for many right now, so this whole album is yours for whatever price you'd like starting at $1. The power to choose is in your hands :)
